Because of the properties of sealant (absorbing moisture in the air for consolidation), the surface is prone to mold and we always see the black edges due to moisture in contact with water. But regardless of appearance or hygiene issues, you should start to deal with mold! 🙋🏻‍♂️
☹️ When the situation is slight:
When the mildew problem is not serious, just wash it with toilet cleaner/bleach 💦!
☹️☹️☹️When the situation is severe:
When the mildew situation becomes serious, you may consider reapplying the sealant again. This is not difficult, but it takes time to scrape off the old sealant😅. You may consider scraping it with a blade🔪, and then you can fill in the seam position and then use a plastic scraper to scrape off the excess glass glue until the surface is flat, and then wait for 2-3 hours to complete! 👍🏻👍🏻
